I’m not a big fan of New Year’s resolutions, partly because I never keep them. I always make them and within a month I’m back to normal again. This year I’m going to try something a little different. I’m going to keep doing what I’ve already set my mind on and not add anything new to my plate. So far I’ve got an album to finish recording with my band and an album release to follow that, two television scripts to write on spec, and a job to become more efficient at. That is more than enough at the moment and I don’t see the need to clutter it with another deadline oriented goal.
I suppose I could be in better shape but that’s not something I want to set a goal for because that can only end in achievement or utter failure. Failure is no good and given my history with exercise it’s the likely outcome.
So here’s to 2010…may it be full of accomplishment and all things that are good. I’m Old Gregg.
